The requirement for a physical admin card necessitates that the technician bring the card to the site; otherwise, a trip may be rendered unproductive. Consequently, the admin card access for authentication has been removed for Site Code Config/Reset Card, and the KLM app, starting from version 3.3.0, will enable technicians to access the Kiosk without the need for a physical admin card by incorporating an authentication feature.

The new authentication methods include:

  • KLM Mobile App: Scan a QR code for instant access.

  • VXT Kiosk (No KLM): Enter credentials directly on the kiosk.


Prerequisites

Before using this feature:

  • Ensure the KLM app is installed and updated to the latest version (V3.3.0).

  • Confirm the Kiosk Firmware is updated to the latest version(V2100.001.003.010).


1.Authentication via KLM App

  1. Launch the KLM app on your mobile device.

  1. Tap the Service > Authenticate from the app menu.

  1. On the kiosk, tap the KioSoft logo to enter Service Mode.

  1. Select Terminal Config.

  1. Scan the displayed QR code (with SRC and Label ID) using the KLM app.

  1. If the authentication is successful, the app will display Location, User ID, and Status.

    You can now configure the terminal.

The authentication is successful.

The authentication failed.

You can tap “Retry” to rescan the QR code.

2.Authentication via VXT Kiosk (No KLM)

If the technician has misplaced or forgotten to bring the admin card and prefers not to use KLM, authentication can be performed at the Kiosk.

  1. Tap the KioSoft logo on the kiosk screen.

  1. Choose Terminal Config from the menu.

  1. Select No KLM on the QR code screen.

  1. Input the following details using the on-screen keyboard:

    • Registered Email Address

    • Password

  1. If the authentication is successful, you will be able to configure the terminal.

    If it failed, reenter credentials or contact support.
