Introducing new hardware called the “LX Elite II”, which will replace the current LX model. One visible difference is the updated silkscreen on the reader, which clearly labels it as Elite II.
Software Reference Number
The software reference number for the LX Elite II is different from the one used for the current LX. It’s important that customers are educated to use the correct ref number when downloading software.
To prevent errors, we’ve implemented rulesets in TMS that will trigger an error message if the LX ref number is used. Refer to the attached screenshot for an example of the error encountered when the LX ref number was mistakenly used. Note: This does not brick the reader—it simply returns to the main screen.
Functionality & Learning Curve
There are no differences in functionality or user experience between LX Elite II and the current LX. No learning curve is expected.
Controlled Pilot
We are initiating a controlled pilot with Wash, using 2 units, which will be shipped out on Monday, July 21. We’ll keep you updated on the pilot's progress and provide timelines on when LX Elite II will become the default LX hardware.
