The VQ-M, deployed on the vending machine, communicates with the VMC board via MDB and sends a heartbeat signal to indicate the machine's online/offline status to the KioSoft VMS system, which is displayed on the dashboard.

This feature allows quick detection of offline machines and efficiently allocating resources such as technical support and maintenance personnel based on real-time status updates.

Vendors can log in to the KioSoft VMS with credentials and view the machine online/offline status at the top status sections of the dashboard.

VMS Display Rules:

  • Online Machines:

When the VMS receives a "Yes" status from the VQ-M, it will display the machine as an "Online Machine."

  • Offline within 24h:

If the VMS continuously receives a "NO" status from the VQ-M 1 to 6 times (over a period of 10 to 60 minutes), it will display the machine as "Offline within 24 hours."

  • Offline more than 24h:

  1. If the VMS continuously receives a "NO" status from the VQ-M 7 times (over a period exceeding 60 minutes), it will display the machine as "Offline for more than 24 hours."

  2. Additionally, if the VQ-M fails to upload the heartbeat status for more than 1 hour, the VMS will display the machine as "Offline for more than 24 hours."

Note: The VQ-M continuously uploads the heartbeat signal every 10 minutes, regardless of the communication results.
