Mounting and Wiring

Prev Next

Please refer to the following information for mounting and wiring instructions for the VQ-FM. You can adjust the sequence of the processes to best suit your installation conditions, but please ensure that the operation for each process is applied as described.

Install & Connect the Antenna

To begin, it is recommended to find an appropriate location to install the antenna. This can help stabilize the Wi-Fi connection of the VQ-FM and ensure the network is registered with the SIM card operator.

While the specific steps to install the antenna may vary depending on the positioning location, the general installation process remains similar and is outlined as follows.

1) Remove the nut from the antenna and set it aside for later use.

2) Position the antenna at the desired location. Pass the cables through, and secure the antenna using the nut that was removed previously.

3) There are two cables coming from the antenna. You can connect either one or both to the reader, depending on the internet connection you plan to use. For a 4G connection, secure the bolt of the 4G cable to the ANT Port as illustrated below. For a Wi-Fi signal, plug the Wi-Fi cable into the COM Port.

Load SIM Card

If the SIM card is already loaded, you can skip this section. Otherwise, please follow the steps below.

1) Remove the two screws of the card slot cover and expose the card slots.

2) Insert the card to the slot #2 (the lower slot). Keep the engraved marks of the card in line with the slot and the chip facing downside.

3) Make sure the card is installed in place.

4) Restore the cover.

Physical Connection with/without Gameboard Version 2

You can refer to either of the following two methods for the physical connection of the VQ-FM, depending on whether Gameboard V2 is used for your product.

Mount VQ-FM to Game Machine

Different mounting conditions might result in some step variations, but the overall process is generally similar to the following.

1) Remove the protection cap and nuts. Set aside the nuts for later use.

2) Mount the VQ-FM to the desired location on the machine.

3) Secure the VQ-FM with the nuts previously removed.
