Opening/Closing Cash

Cashiers shall follow the steps below to count cash in the cash drawer and upload the cash balance every day, so that the store owner could monitor the actual revenue.

Note: If Opening Cash is not performed, the payment via Cash in New Sales will not be available.

Opening Cash

1. Select the Opening Cash feature in the Main interface after Clock in.

2. Click the "Open Cash Drawer" button then click "Next".

3. Count the amount of Cash in the Cash Drawer.

4. Input the cash amount and click the Done button.

5. The Cash Register will turn back to the main interface and the Opening Cash will turn to Closing Cash.

Closing Cash

1. Select the Closing Cash feature in the Main interface before Clocking out.

2. Click the "Open Cash Drawer" button then click "Next".

3. Count the amount of Cash in the Cash Drawer.

4. Input the amount of cash and then click Next.

Note: You can input 0 but cannot leave it blank.

5. Check the Cash difference between the actual cash amount and the expectant cash amount calculated by the Washboard server. The Cash Difference might be 0, short, and over.

6. If you need to re-count the cash amount, click the "Back" button to return to the last page.

7. Click the "Re-Print Report" button, the Cash Drawer Report will be printed as below. You need to pay attention when the cash difference is over or short.

8. If you need to check the product inventory to make further plans, click the "Print Product Inventory" button.

9. If you click the "Done" button, it will return to the Main Interface, and Closing Cash will turn to Opening Cash.
