1. Terminal Config
The Terminal Config Menu is entered by tapping the admin card and inputting 4–digit admin password. There are twelve sections of this menu with functions displayed as follows:
Demo mode
The demo mode is mainly used for simulation and demonstration in terms of topping up and making transactions. Once the demo mode is turned on, transaction tests could be done on the Ultra VXT. You could select “YES” to turn on Demo mode as shown in the picture. |
Config > Edit Setup
This function is used to set and edit all parameters for the kiosk.
Tap “EDIT” to edit parameters and tap “OK” to confirm and continue to check other parameters. When you finish editing all necessary parameters, you could tap “CANCEL” to exit the function. Once you exit, select “YES” or “NO” to save or quit editing.

General
About
Select “ABOUT” and some general information will be displayed on the screen, such as the APP name, APP version and the APP build date. Note: The keypad will be changed later. For now, as shown in the pic, “X” stands for cancel, “<” for delete, “O” stands for OK, “U” for Page Up, “A” for editing and “D” for Page Down. |
Parameter Download
The parameters such as Card Price, Credit Card Processing information, etc. need to be downloaded so that the Ultra VXT can operate normally. Input the reference number provided by KioSoft and tap “O” (representing OK) to start parameter downloading. |
The default server IP address and port will be auto filled, please check, and tap “O” (representing OK) to confirm. When the “Download Succeed” message is displayed, it means your parameters are downloaded and configured successfully.
Buy/Add Config
Three parameters relating to Cash One mode can be configured herein as follows.
Note: these paramters will be displayed only when Cash One mode is selected as the Work Mode. | ||
Multiple Cards: Tap “YES” to enable it or “Back” to return to Buy/Add Config page. It is disabled by default. | Max Cards Qty: Tap the keyboard to enter the max quantity and “Confirm” to save the settings. Default value is 5 and range is 2-10. | Combine Buy/Add: Tap “YES” to enable the function so users can add value to the new card directly before the card is dispensed. It is disabled by default. |
Activate POS
Tap “Activate POS”, and below images will be displayed on the Ultra VXT, when you see the last “Activated” image, it means you activated the POS successfully.
NMS Download
Tap “NMS Download” and it will automatically download and update parameters.
Firmware Upgrade
Tap “Firmware Upgrade” and it will automatically get upgraded.
Kiosk Mode
This parameter is only applicable to amusement installations. Either value mode or credits mode could be selected in this function.
Settlement
This function is used to do settlement for all transactions. After settlement, the record will be uploaded to Washboard and will be cleared in the Ultra VXT. Settlement is finished after you see below image. Tap “O” (representing OK) in the red box to exit this function. |
Test Dispenser
Tap “Test Dispenser” and the dispenser will automatically get tested. If the dispenser works, a card will be dispensed.
IP Mode
Standard mode: The Ultra VXT will call to your NMS every 4 hours Data Save: The Ultra VXT will only perform NMS update daily at rebooting time. |
Reboot MTREX
The Ultra VXT will reboot the router once receiving the reboot the cellular modem command. This will only function if using a KioSoft-provided router.
Reset LT
Reset lifetime, this function is used for Cash Kiosk to clear the lifetime of the cashbox. |
2. Inject Key
Register Key
To register the key, you need to tap the Deployment Key Card and Key Card, and input the vendor ID.
Note: This function is for KioSoft Technicians use only.
You can also inject vendor key for the Kiosk via KLM.
Minimum Version Supported: VXT Kiosks 1.13.7 KLM 3.0.0
1) Click “Inject Key” in the admin menu on the Kiosk screen. | 2) Select “Key Injection with KLM” on the screen. | 3) The Kiosk will display its QR code and machine number. |
4) Click “Inject Vendor Key” on the interface of “Install”. Clear Key
To clear the existing key, you need to tap “CLEAR”.
3. Reset Card Counter
Tap “Reset Card Counter”, tap the admin card, and input the 4 – digit password, the screen will display “Reset Game Card”, tap it and then tap “Confirm”.
4. Site Code Config
This function is mainly used for changing the site code of site cards or single cards.
Note: This function is used for setting up cards for card readers for legacy products that do not support Bluetooth.
5. Collect Cash
Tap “Collect Cash”, tap the admin card and input the 4–digit password, then tap the Cash card and the screen will display as shown in below picture. |
You can also perform cash collection via KLM.
Note: This function only works on Kiocentral server.
1) Press on the sandwich menu button and click “Cash Collection” in the list. | 2) Click the button bordered in blue to proceed Collection with your location, before which make sure Internet Connection is available and you have confirmed the Location. | 3) The rooms of your Location will be displayed on the new page. Select the room in which you want to complete cash collection. *There will be an icon |
Bag Collection
If “Bag Collection” is enabled in “KLM -> Settings”, the options are “Bag Collection” “Scan Machine QR Code” and “Enter Machine Number”.
4) Click “Bag Collection” and scan the bar code on the collection bag. Then scan QR Code or enter Machine Number to decide the machine whose cash is to be collected. During the process, the number of machines collected will be updated. | 5) Successful collection is displayed on the screen. And related info like the number of coins and bills can be checked. After you finish the cash collection for a single machine, the data will be uploaded to server automatically in the background. |
6) Click the “Show Details” button on the complete collection page and it will direct you to the machine list page. Collect All
If “Bag Collection” is disabled in “KLM -> Settings”, the options will be “Collect All” “Scan Machine QR Code” and “Enter Machine Number”.

9. Add Loyalty Program (Bonus)
If you want to provide bonuses to customers for top-up as an incentive, you could start a Loyalty Program for specific locations following the steps below.
Please note that the Loyalty program only works on KioCentral server.
Setup on Server
1) Log into your server account, visit Rewards Program>Loyalty Program, and click the “Add Loyalty Program” button in blue.
2) Fill in the parameters of the loyalty program and click the blue “Add Loyalty Program” button to save it. You may refer to the descriptions below for the fields.
Location: select the location that will offer the loyalty program.
Minimum Refill Required defines the minimum top-up amount that can participate in the loyalty program.
Bonus Type includes two types: “Fixed Amount” and “Percentage”. By “Fixed Amount”, the bonus amount will be a fixed value according to the interval that the refill amount belongs to as configured in the list. By “Percentage”, the bonus amount will be the product of the refill amount times its corresponding percentage which is determined by the interval it belongs to as configured in the list.

Reader Display with Loyalty Program
After configuring and deploying the Loyalty Program, you can manually reboot the reader to force it to be effective immediately or wait for the Loyalty Program to take effect automatically considering that the VXT Kiosk will check in with the server every 30 minutes to find if there is a Loyalty Program. After the Loyalty program comes into force, the corresponding value of the bonus awarded for a refill will be displayed for each refill amount. See the picture for illustrations. |
