3.5E Function Overview

Prev Next

The kiosk has an operating mode, admin mode, maintenance mode, and out of service mode in its whole life cycle.

Operating mode

Customers can place orders on the kiosk, mobile app, or mobile web browser.

Admin mode

The Operator uses a staff username and password, or scans the KC Manager App account QR code to log in to the kiosk backend. While the kiosk is in admin mode, it is not able to accept orders and make drinks, but customers can still place orders on the customer mobile app and mobile web browser, and redeem orders on the kiosk later. When the operator logs out of the kiosk touchscreen backend, the kiosk will be recovered to its previous state.

Maintenance mode

After the operator logs in to the kiosk touchscreen backend, when the operator needs to leave the touchscreen temporarily to continue with other maintenance work and to avoid any visitors operating on the kiosk touchscreen, the kiosk operator can open the maintenance mode by a command in the kiosk touchscreen backend. The operator can tap the brand logo 6 times to quit the maintenance mode.

Out of service mode

When the kiosk meets any blocker issue, the kiosk will turn to “out of service” mode automatically, and there will be a notification sent to the kiosk manager by email and a KC Manager App  push notification.
