General Deployment Process

Prev Next

This document introduces the general process for deploying the Central Pay Lite. Please pay special attention to the highlighted tips or notes with icons to ensure proper functionality.

Tips before we start:

  • The Central Pay station connects and communicates with Elevate Solo readers via a Wi-Fi signal, making the KioSoft modem mandatory.

  • Additionally, only one Central Pay can be deployed per modem because Central Pay requires a static IP address configured as x.x.x.254 from the modem.

Create Vendor on Universal Server (Internal Only)

First, as a server owner, admin or distributor admin, you can go to Universal Server (KioCentral) => Company Management => Create Company to create a vendor company. The newly created company will be laid out in the list with a Login button via which you can log in to your vendor portal for further deployment from location, room, staff, CCM, etc. perspectives.

For more information, please refer to the Universal Server User Manual.

KioCentral Setup

Once the vendor is created, you can log in to KioCentral for configurations. The following content focuses on the configurations specific to Central Pay. For comprehensive instructions on using KioCentral, please refer to the KioCentral Market Facing Server User Manual.

Create Universal Pulse Profile for Elevate Solo

In addition to the Central Pay profile, you will also need to create Universal Pulse profiles for the Elevate Solo readers equipped with your laundry machines.

Click the tab Universal Pulse, then all sub-tabs in this profile will be presented. You can define them in order.

The parameter Central Pay must be manually enabled in the Universal Pulse Profile of the Elevate Solo readers. Otherwise, it will not communicate with Central Pay.

For detailed information on this profile, please refer to the articles: CCM - Universal Pulse - Location & Machine Profile; CCM - Universal Pulse - Products Price and Timing; CCM - Universal Pulse - Pulse & Data and Processing; CCM - Universal Pulse - Payment Types and Methods.

Remember to save the profile!

After the configurations are finished for a profile, remember to save it with the following steps; otherwise, the configurations will be lost.

1) Click on the drop-down menu of “Profile” and then select “Save Profile.”

2) Two text boxes will allow you to enter information for the Profile. Custom text is a searchable field for the profile. The Description text is for making relevant notes.

Note: It is best practice to use a standard naming convention in the custom text field to help you quickly find the correct profile.

3) Save the profile by clicking “Save.”

Set Up via KLM

After creating the profiles on the Server, you need to inject the profile into the reader via KLM. Please follow the steps below to set up the Central Pay and Elevate Solo readers.

  1. Open KLM and log in to the location that you set on the Server, select the “Setup” option on the Homepage.

  1. Tap the button marked in the red box.

  1. Select “Room” and tap the “Setup New Reader” button.

  1. Select “Other Reader Series.”

  1. Select the CCM machine profile that you created on the Server, which is searchable by inputting the profile name.

  1. Input the Machine Number and Machine ID., then click “Next.”

Note: Please make sure the Machine Number matches the number on the machine.

  1. Scan the QR code of the reader, or enter the machine number to proceed with the profile injection.

Note: Scan QR code should be recommended as the machine number may change as needed going forward.

  1. Enter the machine number and click on the “OK” button to confirm the profile and the machine info in the pop-up window.

  1. Wait for the successful profile injection; the KLM App will display as below.

Check the Machine in Machine View

Upon deployment of the Central Pay and Elevate Solo readers, you can view the machine information in Room View by accessing Vendor Portal → Locations →  Location View → Rooms → Room View.

You can find the deployed Central Pay in the “Vending API” section, as shown below.

The Elevate Solo readers are displayed in the Universal Pulse section.

Tip for Connection Failure

If you frequently encounter connection failures when starting machines, it may be due to the long distance between the modem and the laundry machines. Optimizing the position of the modem could help resolve this issue.

Start a Machine with App

Even with Central Pay deployed, customers still can start the machine by scanning its QR code using the CleanPay Mobile app or the customized app.
