This article will show how to change work mode on a VXT Kiosk step by step, as well as explaining five of the six work modes that are supported for the kiosk excluding the CASH ONE-Laundry.

Issue

Change work mode on a VXT Kiosk.

Environment

VC Cash, VC Cash One, VC Cash HS, VC Credit.

Resolution

  1. Tap the Kiosoft logo in the top center of the Ultra VXT reader 5 times to enter the kiosk’s Admin menu.

  1. Input the 8-digit password and click 'Confirm' to enter the admin menu.

  1. Tap 'Next'.

  1. Choose 'Work Mode' on the 2nd page.

  1. Verify that the Work Mode is configured correctly.

    For Credit Only kiosks that do not accept cash, the Work Mode must be set to CREDIT. If configured incorrectly, the VXT kiosk will display a “CHECK DISPENSER CONNECTION” error message.

Note

Even if the merchant does not intend to accept cash on the kiosk, the work mode must still be set to AVU Cash - Laundry for kiosk with a bill acceptor.
