How to Deploy
3.1 Cable Connection
A functionality highlight for Converter is its connection with the third-party reader (configured in CCM > Site Data) to make the payment by inserting an available card. You should follow the physical wiring diagram below to connect the Converter with the third-party reader (take ESD reader as an example) and the machine.
8-pin and 2-pin cables will be output from the ESD reader. Connect the 8-pin and 2-pin cables with the Converter, then connect the MX 3.0 cable of the Converter with the machine.
3.2 Server Setup
3.2.1 Create Vendor Company
First, as a server owner admin or distributor admin, you can go to Universal Server => Company Management => Create Company to create a vendor company. The newly created company will be laid out in the list with a Login button via which you can log in to your vendor portal for further deployment from location, room, staff, CCM, etc., perspectives.
3.2.2 Create Location and Room
Please navigate to Location Management of Vendor Portal to create the location and room where the product will be deployed. For improved management, you can also create the Branch and Cluster to which this product will belong.
3.2.3 Create Staff
Please navigate to Vendor Portal => User Management => Staff to create the staff accounts that will assist in managing the products.
3.2.4 Create CCM Profile
In CCM Profile Builder, you can build up/edit a profile that contains machine-related and site-related data for the reader to communicate with the machines.
Site Data
Click on “Site Data” and all fields to configure will be displayed. Please define the fields one by one; you can refer to Table 3-1 below for descriptions of the fields.
The Location ID and Site Code defined herein should be the same as the Location ID and Site Code that you created on Vendor Portal.
Table 3-1
Field Name | Value Needed | Description |
Location ID | Alpha-Numeric | To select a certain location that is created in Location Management>Create Location. You can enter the keyword of the location name to narrow down the display list. |
Room # | Numeric | To enter the room number that is created in Location Management-Location-Rooms. |
Double Tap Timeout | Numeric | Unused |
Site Code | Numeric | When a certain location is selected, the corresponding Site Code will be automatically matched. |
Machine # | Numeric | Keep the default settings here. When the reader profile is set up in KLM, the Machine # will be filled out. |
Screen Rotation | Drop-down Choice | Unused |
Ignore Site Code | Check Box | Unused |
Non-Network Mode | Check Box | Unused |
Card Holder Mode | Check Box | Unused |

Converter Reader Type | Drop-down Choice | Select the name of the external third-party reader to support the payment by inserting card. The selected third-party reader will be connected with the Converter to make the payment by inserting card available. |
Machine Data
The Converter supports multiple machines and we’ll take the Maytag Rec #51 Model 6 as an example to demonstrate how to configure the machine data.
First, click on Machine Data -> Maytag -> Rec 51 > Model 6 to select the machine type. You can click on the “+Advance Options” button to view the complete parameters needed for the machine.
Note: It is crucial to ensure that when you use KLM to set up the reader, the Label ID you define in KLM complies with the ID Number configured on the machine. If you're unsure about how to configure the ID Number, please refer to the configuration guide provided by the machine manufacturer.
Field Name | Value Needed | Description |
---|---|---|
Error Beep for SSUT | Drop-down choice (Enabled / Disabled) | This is used for the Self Setup Test. When a certain test item fails, a beep sound will occur. |
Coin Value | Numeric | Defines the coin value accepted by the machine. Unit is cent. Default value is 0. |
Vend Discounts | Numeric | Not applicable. |
Cycle 1 Regular Price | Numeric | Defines the fixed price of the cycle. Unit is cent. The value range should be within 0~9999. |
Action Code | Checkbox | Only “Set price/coin values” and “Set Cycle Length and Top Off Time” can be configured by non-technician users based on the actual needs. If “Set price/coin values” is not checked, the price value in the fields below will not take effect. If “Set Cycle Length and Top Off Time” is checked, extra fields will appear for you to set the cycle time (the top off time will be calculated based on the cycle time and cycle price). |
Model Mode | Numeric | Unused for non-technician users. |
Location Number | Numeric | Unused for non-technician users. |
