Start the Machine and Terminal UI Display

Only English is supported on VQ-FM at the present development phase.

Start the Machine

There are three approaches for consumers to start using the machine: starting with bank cards, a cloud card, and coins/bills.

Start the Machine with a Bank Card

After selecting the game, users can tap, swipe, or insert the bank card to make the payment as follows.

Start the Machine with Cloud Card

After selecting the game, you can tap your card on the VQ-FM to make the payment and start the machine.

    Start the Machine with Coins and Cash

The general process to start a game machine with coins or cash is as follows:

1) Select the game on the machine.

2) Insert the required number of coins into the Coin Drop, or insert cash into the bill acceptor.

3) After hearing the beeping sound, press the “Start” button on the machine to begin the game.

Terminal Display

In the current phase, the reader supports two price modes: Basic Price Mode and Multi Price Mode, which are configurable through KioCentral → CCM → Universal Pulse → Products Price and Timing section. For detailed configuration-related information, please refer to the document General Deployment Process.

As the name suggests, Multi Price mode allows multiple prices to display on one reader screen. There are two display modes to present the multiple price options, i.e., linear display and multi-price display, which are configurable in KioCentral → CCM → Universal Pulse → Products Price and Timing section. Please refer to the document General Deployment Process for configuration-related information.

The UIs of these two display modes are as follows.

White Labelling

The White Labeling feature allows you to define the logo display at the bottom in the right corner of the reader screen.

Scope and Limitation of White Labelling

Only the distributors can see these settings, vendors should not be able to see these settings.

Elevate Touch: both horizontal and vertical display.

This feature is limited to CenterEdge from Amusement only.

White Labelling Configuration

Permission Limitation

At the current phase, only the “Distributor Admin” or “Distributor Manager” under CenterEdge Distributor have access to this white labelling configuration.

Access KioCentral → Vendor Portal → Settings → General Settings → Reader section for the configuration.

There are three options in the dropdown menu of Reader White Labelling:

• None: Default option. If it’s selected, no logo will be displayed at the bottom right corner of the screen.

• Distributor Logo: Allows you to upload a vendor logo image from your local storage.

  - Image format: .png

  - Image standard: 95 × 20 px recommended (no more than 190 × 40)

  - Maximum Size: 10 KB

• PayRange Logo: If it’s selected, “PayRange Logo” will be shown on the reader’s screen.  

Click on “Save changes” to save the configuration.

The settings will be updated by any of the following actions:

• Manual setup of the reader for the first time

• Reader reboot

• Daily reboot
