Question

I paid with Apple Pay, How Do I View the last four of my Virtual credit card?

Answer

Whenever a payment card is added to Apple Pay, the combination of that card and that device (Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, or Mac) is given a unique Device Account Number.
Using this number instead of your actual card number forms part of Apple Pay's built-in security measures that help to protect your data during payment transactions.
When requesting a refund, you will be asked to show the last few digits of this number on your device. You will navigate to ‘Apple Wallet’ within the settings, select the specific card, and choose info to display the last 4 digits of the card that will show on transactions using Apple Pay.

To view the last few digits of the Device Account Number on the device that was used for payment, use the following steps:

  1. Choose settings from the home screen:

Settings app icon with a notification badge indicating four updates available.

  1. Choose “Wallet & Apple Pay”

Settings menu showing Wallet & Apple Pay option highlighted for selection.

  1. Tap the appropriate credit card from the list:

Settings screen for Wallet and Apple Pay with payment card options displayed.

  1. Tap info, and then look for the last 4 digits of the Apple Pay Card
