Ir302 Cellular Modem Troubleshooting

Environment

1) Confirm the modem’s physical connections are secure, reseat the connections if needed. If you make any changes to the antenna connection, please power cycle the modem.

  • The Wi-Fi antenna is connected to the Wi-Fi connection on the modem, shown above on the right side of the modem.

  • The 4G antenna is connected to the Cellular1 connection on the modem, shown below on the left side of the modem.

  • Please connect the power cable last. Power is connected to the DC 9-36V connection, closer to the Wi-fi antenna.

Device connections including Cellular, WAN, LAN, and power input ports are visible.

  • If you are hardwiring a KioSoft Reader (VXT/VQ-M) or a Kiosoft Kiosk (VC Series or AVU Touch) to receive internet from the cellular Ir302 modem, please connect the ethernet cable in the LAN2 port. If there is a data flowing, the port's lights (yellow & green) will be flashing.

The image shows a device's ports, highlighting the LAN2 connection for network setup.

2) Allow the cellular modem to establish internet connection by waiting a full minute.

3) Confirm the current modem status by using the LED lights:

Device status indicators for power, status, cellular, signal, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Ideally, all of the modem’s lights should be solid, with only the Wi-Fi light flashing consistently. You can refer to the chart below for reference.
