This document provides detailed instructions for installing the WiFi module into the KioSoft Edge Box, ensuring seamless wireless connectivity. The guide covers each step of the installation process, from dismantling the cover case and identifying the expansion slots to securing the WiFi module and connecting the antennas.

Dismantle the Cover Case

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the four securing screws.

Note: Be cautious, don’t damage the screw heads.

Inside the control board, you will find a spare Mini-WIFI expansion slot, highlighted in the image below.

Install the WIFI Module

Remove the two screws on the WIFI module as shown in the picture:

Insert the WIFI module into the Mini WIFI slot, ensuring that the pins are aligned correctly. Use the screws removed from the module earlier to secure it to the board.

Install the Internal Antenna

Prepare the internal antenna as demonstrated in the image below.

Connect one end of the antennas to the connectors on the WiFi module—pairing is not specific. Attach the other ends to the two designated threaded holes on either side of the case.

Connect the two connectors of the external antenna to the corresponding connectors of the internal antenna, as illustrated in the image.

Finish the Installation

Reattach the cover case and secure it with the screws.

Mounting the External Antenna on to the VC

Thread the antenna from the inside to the outside through the antenna hole at the top of the VC, and secure it in an upright position. It does not need to be precisely centered over the hole.
