Mounting and wiring
Disconnect the machine
In order to proceed with the following steps, the machine should be disconnected to avoid any kind inconvenience.
1) Remove the “Insert Card Here” label from the machine and replace it with the LG Card Ready Mounting Sticker provided by KioSoft.
2) Open the laundry machine front panel and keep the machine output cable inside for later use.
3) Attach CleanReader to the front panel: Reader Data / Power Connector and Reader Mounting Bolts go through the opening on the panel.
4) Attach the Surface Universal Back Mounting Plate and secure it with two nylon locking nuts.
5) Connect white 7 pin connector on the WH170003 harness to the LG serial module (AS170002) at the port labeled "To CleanReader".
6) Then, connect the black 10-pin connector on the WH170002 harness to the bottom port of the LG serial module (AS170002).
7) Connect the WH170005 cable to the 2-pin black and white connector on the WH170002 harness to complete the connection.
8) Take the loose end of the WH170005 and plug it into the red and black 8-pin connector coming from the LG machine’s coin drop cable.
9) Connect 8-pin connector on the WH170002 harness to LG machine output cable.
10) Connect 10-pin connector on the WH170003 to Reader Data / Power Connector.
11) Ensure your wiring is well organized and clean, and strap LG Interface Module on the panel before it is closed.
Connect the machine and proceed with the configuration.
After doing all the steps, power up the machine and check that the reader is powering up as well. Please see the programming guide to continue with the installation.
