Before Wiring: Changing machine board to COIN mode.

Prior to wiring, ensure the LG machine is set to COIN mode. Please see your laundry machine’s Owner’s manual as menu options on the machine’s display may vary depending on the LG model. Example are shown below for reference.

LG 1.8 menu example below

Reader Jumper:

The card reader's jumper is located on the back of the card reader. The jumper must be set horizontal, not vertical. It has two parts, each covering two pins.

The jumper must be on "B" side when using the LG Pulse Kit, see image below:

Power Connections:

For Ultra Series Readers Only: Splicing into the machine is required to power the Ultra reader.

WARNING: Please make sure the laundry machine is off before proceeding.

Please consult the Owner’s Manual, before fully connecting WH100010 & PS100007 Power Adaptor to your laundry machine. Depending on the machine model and voltage, connections may vary.

For reference, the PS100007 (Power Adaptor) accepts a wide input from 100-240 V – 50-60HZ 0.8A and output of 12V.

Below are the Ultra Reader Power requirements:

  • Ultra LX - 300mA @ 12V, 125mA @24V

  • Ultra VX/ VXT- 750mA @ 12V, 350mA @24V

Connect WH100010’s 2-pin connector into PS10007 AC adaptor. Note, the image below shows cable WH120006, but the connections for WH100010 are the same.

On this particular LG machine example, power is getting pull from the transformer by using PP000003 blue wiretap splicers with WH120006, as shown below:

  • The blue circle shows splicing into the machine’s transformer, with WH120006’s black cable to the transformed black cable the WH120006’s white cable to the transformer’s white cable.

  • The red circle shows the WH100010’s 2-pin connector into AC adaptor

Connect the Pulse Harness (WH170010)

Disconnect the blue connector from the LG display to the machine:

Then connect WH170010’s orange and green connector to the blue connector from the LG machine.

Then connect the WH170010’s 12 pin connector into the LG machines coin connection, see below:

Reader Connection:

Take WH1700010’s card reader connection and plug it into the reader’s data cable.
