To enhance functionality and elevate users’ experience with the Vendera smart fridge product, the Ultra VQ-FM has been developed to integrate with the smart fridge by using the existing Ultra API, ensuring seamless interaction by embracing an all-in-one system for payments, selection, and product pickup.

Configure Reader Payment via CCM
In CCM → Machine Data, under the tab KioSoft → Ultra API, you can define the parameters for the Vendera smart fridge.

Machine Type | Drop-down choice | The machine type you select shall match your machines. You should select “Vendera Smart Fridge”. |
Upload Reports | Drop-down choice (Enabled / Disabled) | This parameter is used to control whether the terminal should upload the report to the server. If Disabled is selected, the terminal won’t upload reports to the database and vice versa. The default value is Enabled. |
Background Theme | Drop-down choice (Light / Dark) | The background theme for the reader. |
Vendor Logo | Uploaded image | The vendor logo image will be displayed on the top bar of the reader’s idle screen. Image standard 23x110 px (no greater than 34x160); Image Format: .png; Image Orientation: Horizontal Image. |
Customer Logo | Uploaded image | The customer logo image will be displayed in the middle of the reader’s idle screen. |
Screen Title | Alpha-Numeric | The title text that will be displayed on the idle screen of the reader (Only English is supported). |
When “Vendera Smart Fridge” is selected for Machine Type, a new section would appear at the bottom of the page. You can refer to the table below for descriptions of the fields required.

Customize Line 2 Font Size | Drop-down Choice | It defines the font size of the customized line 2 text, with 4 options: 20, 22, 24, 26. The default value is 20. |
Tap Card Icon on Left | Drop-down Choice | The default set is “Enabled”. When enabled, a tap card icon will be displayed in the middle-left of the reader screen. |
QR Code Icon on Right | Drop-down Choice | The default set is “Disabled”. When enabled, a new input field with a prompt message “Please input URL” will appear. The uploaded QR code will display in the middle-right of the reader’s screen. |
QR Code URL | Drop-down Choice | You can select the default QR code or upload a customized QR code. When “Full customized QR code” is selected, you should input a URL that includes QR code info. The QR code will be displayed in the middle-right of the screen. |
24 Hour Auto Reboot | Drop-down Choice | The default set is “Enabled”. When enabled, the reader supports the reboot command from the Vendera smart fridge as per the defined protocol, and can perform a reboot either immediately or after an in-progress transaction. When disabled, the reader will not accept reboot commands from the device and will only perform a daily reboot at the scheduled time. |
Payment Time Out(s) | Numeric | It defines the time period for users to present the card on the reader. The unit is second, and the default value is 60 (s). Range from 0-86400. When it is set to 0, the reader will continuously wait for a payment to be presented until the daily scheduled reboot occurs. |
The customised texts and icons will be shown on the reader’s screen if Customize Line 1, Customize Line 2, Tap Card Icon, and QR Code Icon were selected for configuration.
