Management

Prev Next

The management section is comprised of four segments, including the System Configuration, Change Settings, People, and Email Notification, allowing users to manage air pump devices, user accounts, terminals, notifications, etc., in an all-around way.

1. System Configuration

1.1 Manage Payee

Manage Payee enables a list of payee entries with information such as the ID, Payee ID, Payee Name, etc. You can use the search box to search for the payee by entering the key information. Users can click on Edit/Delete to update the payee’s detailed information or remove it from the current list.

Besides, you can click on the “Add New Payee” at the top of the list to add a new payee by filling in the required information, including Payee ID, Payee Name, Payee Address, Payee City, Payee Province, as well as the Payee Postal Code. Click on “Add” once all info has been entered and confirmed.

1.2 Manage Terminals

1.2.1 Manage Terminal List

The Manage Terminals section enables you to create and manage the terminals manually.

Click on it, and all the paired terminals are listed. Each entry will keep a record of the terminal’s basic information along with the manual actions, including Sync, Swap, Reset, Remove, and Edit.

Search Terminal

You can search the target terminal entry by entering the keywords in the textbox MLID and MCC S/N. Click on the “Search” button to filter out the entries that match.

Sync

The “Sync” button is used to synchronize the time of MCC with the time of the server. Click on the Sync button, and you will be redirected to a new page with a confirmation message asking if you are sure to sync the time. If it’s confirmed, you can click on the “Confirm” button. The sync action can not be undone once it’s confirmed.

Swap

The “Swap” feature allows you to swap the current terminal device with a new one, and the system will be able to identify whether the device to be swapped is MCC or VQM, which will determine which swap method is going to be applied. There are four types of swap methods at the current phase: MCC to MCC, MCC to VQM/LCM, VQM/LCM to MCC, and VQM/LCM to VQM/LCM.

You can search for the target terminal entry and click on the “Swap” action to proceed.

Import MCC

Import MCC should be done before you operate the terminal swapping, aiming to import the new device info into the database.

  1. If the terminal is a VQM/LCM device, you can select “VQM/LCM to MCC” or “VQM/LCM to VQM/LCM” for the swapping action:

  • VQM/LCM to MCC

Select the serial number from the Main Controller drop-down (import MCC)

Fill in the DB Merchant Number and the DB Terminal ID Number

  • VQM/LCM to VQM/LCM

Select the Main Controller from the drop-down (import MCC)

If the terminal is an MCC device, you can choose to swap either “MCC to MCC” or “MCC to VQM/LCM”:

  • MCC to MCC

  • MCC to VQM/LCM

Select the Main Controller (60, 99, or 65) from the drop-down.

Fill in Moneris payment information as required, including Moneris Store ID, Moneris Api Token, and Moneris Device ID.

As the VQM/LCM supports the Moneris payment, you should fill in the Moneris details as required to deploy the payment method.

Click on “Update” once the information is filled in and confirmed. Once the swapping is completed, the terminal will be automatically grouped accordingly.

Reset

Click on this button to reset the counts of loonies and quarters to zero (0).

Remove

Click on Remove, and you will be redirected to a new page with a confirmation message asking if the terminal should be removed. If it’s confirmed, the terminal device will be removed from the terminal management.

Edit

Click on Edit, and you are able to update the information about the terminal device, including the MLID, Serial Number, Location Name, Store #, etc. Click on Submit, and the information details will be updated.

1.2.2 Add New Terminal

Add New Terminals will be displayed once you click on Manage Terminals on the navigation panel. You should fill in the detailed information of the new terminal, such as Site ID, Airsev S/N, Machine Location ID, Location Name, Store #, etc.

Besides, when adding a new terminal, the system will automatically verify whether the device already exists based on its MLID and SN. If either MLID or SN exists, the device will be considered an existing one, and an error message will be prompted in the frontend: “Failed to add the terminal: The terminal already exists”. In addition, we’ve set “paired” to “1” after the terminal has been imported, and the config file will be updated accordingly.

1.2.3 Import Terminals

On the navigation panel, click on Manage → Terminals → Import Terminals. You are able to select a local file and upload it for importing multiple terminal devices at one time (bulk importing). The system will check to confirm whether the terminal is already an existing one or not. If the terminal already exists, the import process will be rejected, and an error message will be displayed stating that the terminal failed to import because it already exists.

You can click to download the template and fill in the required parameters to import the devices:

1.2.4 Manage Inactive Terminals

Manage Inactive Terminals will be shown once you click on Manage Terminals on the navigation menu. In the list of inactive terminals, only terminals with paired as “0” will be shown. In addition, an action button can be used to reactivate a terminal, which will redirect to a page where the information of the device will be shown (MLID, SN, Moneris, etc.). Confirm the details and click on Submit, and the terminal will be reactivated successfully (if the SN is proven to be non-existent, an error message will prompt “Please input a valid SN”).

1.3 Undeployed Terminals

The Undeployed Terminals is a list that provides the basic information of all the terminals that have been deployed on the server but haven’t been installed. You can easily access the basic details of each terminal entry, such as the Site ID, MLID, MCC S/N, and the location address.

1.4 Import MCC/VQM/LCM

You can import an MCC to import a device into the database. When adding a new MCC, the system will verify if the MCC S/N or MAC address is a duplicate. If it’s a duplicate, the importing process will be terminated with an error message prompting “Failed to add device: The device already exists”. The imported device(s) will be listed in Manage MCC for easy retrieval.

1.5 Manage MCC/VQM/LCM

The imported MCC will be listed in Manage MCC. You can acquire a quick overview of the available MCC.

  • Add Swap: the button will be shown only when “swap” = 0.

  • Remove Swap: the button will be shown only when “swap” = 1.

  • Edit: editing an MCC will differ based on whether the device is paired or not and whether its SN exists already. If paired is “1”, it will prompt “This device has been paired. Please contact the administrator.” If paired is “0”, users are able to edit the device information, such as ID, SN, MAC Address, etc. If the SN already exists, it will prompt “The SN already exists in the system”. If the MAC address exists, it will prompt “The MAC Address already exists in the system”.

In addition, the “Device Overview” is a newly added feature, aiming to display the total number of devices, the total number of devices in the swap pool, the total number of paired devices, and the total number of unpaired devices.

1.6 Manage Cards

The function card information can be managed through this feature, including the card name, card number, card type, operator ID, activation time, expiration status & time. Click on Edit, and you can re-enter the card number and change the card status. Additionally, the system can automatically check and verify if there are duplicate card numbers. If so, an error message will prompt “The card number already exists". And you should change the card number or remove the existing cards for efficient management.

Import Card

“Import Card” will be shown when you click on Manage Card on the navigation menu, allowing you to import multiple cards at one time. Click to select the card’s file and tick “Submit”, then the cards along with their information will be loaded accordingly.

Add Card

Click on Manage Cards → Add Card on the navigation panel to add one card by filling in the card’s information.

  • Card Number: manually input the card’s number in the textbox.

  • Card Status: tick “Unchecked” or “Checked” to define the status of the new card.

1.7 Manage Groups

The Manage Groups section aims to group multiple terminals for targeted management. You can click on “Add New Group” to create a group. Customize the group name, designate a person who will be in charge of the group, input your email address to receive the notifications, and choose the notification type as you expect.

1.9 Cutoff Time

The Cutoff Time defines the specific deadline time when the transaction data has already been uploaded to the server. The time should align with the payment processor’s daily scheduled time to process the credit card settlements through its server. You can enter the cutoff time in the textbox and click on Save Configuration.

  1. Change Settings

You are able to change settings for the terminal device in this section by clicking on Edit.

You can enter or update the required fields to configure the prices, cycle duration, temperature limit, max cash or coin drop pattern, etc.

  1. People

This section will be a highly centralized system that allows you to add the personnel concerned and grant permissions as needed. The existing people, along with the basic information, will be listed, and additionally, you can click on “Add User” to add new personnel to the management list. You should enter the username, email address, configure the password, switch status, and define their role for the new people.

Apart from this, the admin role can also click on the “Permission” tab to define the permissions for the key roles by ticking the checkboxes.

  1. Email Notification

You are also able to customize and set up the email notifications as a business performance alert. Follow the instructions for the requirements configuration, and you can enter the notification super email address and configure the signature for use.
