Initialization of the card reader failed (no connection between VMS and Tablet)
Root reason: Wrong Android board (PCB) serial port connection or wrong VMS URL.
Solutions:
Check the Android board (PCB) serial port; it should be connected to RS232.
Check whether the VMS URL of the tablet matches the one of the reader. If it doesn’t match, you can follow the steps to change the tablet VMS URL by switching to the testing/production environment.

How to update (re-set up) the new reader SN in VMS
Solution:
Log in to the VMS system, go to Operations → Machines → All Machines. Locate the old reader profile and click the “Edit” button.
In the Update Machine page, enter the new reader SN, and click “Submit” to update the reader SN.
The reader SN must not be saved in another machine's profile; otherwise, it will not be submitted.
How to remove the old reader SN
Log in to the VMS system, go to Operations → Machines → All Machines. Locate the old reader profile and click the “Delete” button to remove the old reader SN.
To create a new reader profile after deleting the old one, go to Operations → Machine → New Machine. If prompted "The SN already exists, please confirm it and re-enter it," go to Operations → Machine → To‑be‑deployed, locate the reader profile, click "Complete," then edit and save the profile.
