The eDrop series, compared with traditional mechanical coin drop, are developed with the feature of configurable coin acceptance. Users can configure the coin types to be accepted or rejected by editing the parameters of the eDrop profile in the server.
Click the tab eDrop Series to enter this section. In the drop-down list of Hardware version, you will see two options of eDrop hardware. Compared with V1, eDrop V2 has higher accuracy in recognizing different currency in circulation worldwide. Please select the one that fits your actual condition and define the parameters as needed. You can refer to table below for descriptions of the fields required.
Field Name | Value Needed | Description |
---|---|---|
Channel # | / | A row number for the channel with no special meaning. |
Coin Type | Drop-down choice | Six (V1) or Eight (V2) default coin types with the naming convention of “Country_Cointype” are provided in the system. Compared with V1, two more coin types are available for eDrop V2 in the drop-down list, which are “Canada_quarter_2” and “Canada_toonie_2”. Due to the unstable material of Canada coins, these two are added to accommodate more types of coins with subtle differences. Click the input box then a drop-menu will display; the drop-menu will filter as you are inputting letters. New types of coin can be added to the system database using the Learn feature of the KLM app. For details, see the e-Drop Series User Manual. |
Number of Pulse | Numeric | Defines the number of pulses that will be sent to the machine for the detected coin type when the consumer drops the coin. |
Tolerance | Drop-down choice (1-10) | Defines how strict a machine can be with accepting coins. Value 1 stands for the strictest and 10 means the most tolerant. For the default coin type, the default value is 1. For a new coin type, the default value is 5. |
Coin Output | Drop-down choice (1/2) | It defines through which one of the two machine outputs to send the number of the pulses. The default values for first 6 channels are set to output 1. |
Toggle | Drop-down choice (Enable/Disable) | A toggle switch to enable or disable the channel. When a channel is disabled, it is not supported or editable and vice versa. The first 6 channels are enabled by default and the remaining 10 are disabled. |
Availability | Drop-down choice (All Operators / Single Operator) | This field is available to KioSoft staff only. It allows to determine whether the new coin type should be used by all operators or this single one. Single Operator: only the operator who has learned this new coin type can use it for creating and configuring profiles. And the coin type name of this availability shall be unique when it is used by the same vendor with the same hardware version. All Operator: all operators can use this new coin type to create and config profiles, regardless of whether they have personally learned it or not. The coin type name belonging to the same hardware version type shall be unique. |
Reset | / | Clicking on this icon button will reset the channel to its default state. |
