Ultra Pulse applies to Ultra VXT Series only.

The Ultra Pulse profile supports pulse machines such as pulse type laundry machines, air pump & air vac, and game machines.

There are 2 major modes that can be configured in Ultra Pulse which are Pulse Mode and Donation Mode. And Pulse Mode itself has two business modes namely Service Mode and Package Mode where the price options are presented in different ways. Among the parameters displayed in this section, some are not generic ones, exclusive to one of the modes mentioned above. Therefore, a table is provided herein to help identify the required parameters for each mode especially those exclusive ones as marked in red. Then you can select the mode desired, based on your needs.

Click the tab KioSoft→ Ultra Pulse→ Advanced Options in sequence then all parameters relating to Ultra Pulse will be shown. Define the parameters as needed. You can refer to the table below for descriptions of the fields required.

This is used for Self SetUp Test.

When doing SSUT, if this feature is enabled, the reader will keep beeping until the SSUT is passed.

Coin Value

Defines the coin value accepted by the machine. Unit is cent. Default value is 25.

Pulse Input

Define the input pulse type. Default setting is Disable.

Pulse Mode

(On, Off)

The default value is ON which indicates Pulse Mode. OFF indicates non-pulse mode, Donation Mode specifically at present.

(Service Mode, Package Mode)

Service and Package are two kinds of business modes of Pulse Mode. In Service Mode, you can set a minimum price, maximum price, and the increment amount to realize different price options; while in Package Mode, the price options are given in the form of different packages (9 packages maximum).

Amount Per Pulse

“Amount per pulse” is the value charged for one pulse. The total price divided by Amount Per Pulse equals to the number of pulses.

Range is 1~9999.

PerPulse Delay

Numeric

This field is for Pulse Mode.

“Pulse Delay” and “Pulse Width” is the pulse configuration to set the time between pulses and the actual pulse width.

The range for Pulse width is 0< Pulse width ≤100ms. Default value is 70ms.

The range for Pulse Delay is 0< Pulse width ≤300ms. Default value is 70ms.

Pulse Width

The same as above.

Price Mode

(Linear, Multiple, Pre-defined amount)

Linear and Multiple are for Pulse Mode (both Service and Package Mode). “Linear” means the reader will display price option one by one via touching arrows. “Multiple” means the reader will show the first 4 service/package prices in one screen.

Pre-defined amount is for Donation Mode. When Off is selected for Pulse Mode, Pre-defined amount will automatically be chosen for this field.

Price List Order

“Price list order” is used to set the price display order on the screen, default value is “High to Low”.

Step Price

This field is for Pulse Mode>Service Mode.

“Step Price” is the increment amount by which the price changes when the “change page” button of the reader is pressed. Range is 1~9999

Maximum Price

Numeric

This field is for Pulse Mode > Service Mode.

“Maximum price” and “Minimum price” is the price range of service, if min price = max price, machine will go into fixed price mode. Range is 1~9999.

Minimum Price

The same as above.

Amount 1/2/3/4

These 4 fields are for Donation Mode, i.e. when Off is selected for Pulse Mode. They define the 4 amount options to be displayed on the reader.

Max Amount

This field is for Donation Mode, i.e. when Off is selected for Pulse Mode. It defines the maximum amount allowed when users manually input the donation amount on the reader instead of choosing a pre-defined one.

WB Report

This parameter is used to control if the reader should upload report to the server.

If Disable is selected, then the terminal won’t upload reports to database and vice versa.

The default value is Enable.

Background Theme

The background theme of the reader.

Machine Type

Defines the machine type name presented in the reports of the server.

Price 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9

This field is for Pulse Mode>Package Mode.

Defines the package price that will be displayed on the reader.

Vendor Logo

Uploaded image

The vendor logo image that will be displayed on the reader’s idle screen. Image standard 23x110 px (no greater than 34x160); Image Format: .png; Image Orientation: Horizontal Image.

Package 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9

Text

This field is for Pulse Mode>Package Mode.

Defines the Package name that will be displayed on the reader. If multiple languages are enabled in Location Management, the corresponding language will also be displayed for configurations herein.

Title Text

Alpha-Numeric

The title text that will be displayed on the idle screen of the reader. If multiple languages are enabled in Location Management, the corresponding language will also be displayed for configurations herein.
