Common Problems

Solutions

KioSoft POS

Device is not responding

  • Cable disconnected

  • Power off

  • Check cable connection

  • Check power

  • Use KLM to get reader info to get version number, status

  • Use KLM to perform Factory Reset to retry installation

Screen is black

  • No power

  • Not turned on

  • Check power

  • Open the Switch of KioSoft POS

Failed to register/top off but other functions work well.

  • The SRC and injected Key don’t belong to the same vendor.

  • Reinject Key with the correct Key card

Sync Server Failed on Initialization Screen

  • Time zone not set

  • Server Url configuration

  • Check Time zone for location

  • Check Url configuration

Cash Drawer

Can't open cash drawer

  • Locked

  • Jammed

  • Check cable connection

  • Check power

Printer

Printed receipts are blank

  • Roll is upside down

  • Wrong type of paper

  • Make sure the paper roll is correctly positioned

  • Check paper type

Scale

The scale disconnected.

  • The connection type is not assisted with the communication protocol.

  • The scale is not open.

  • Open the Scale

  • Reconnect the scale according to the user manual

The reading weight is incorrect.

  • In Tare mode.

  • Or other errors.

  • Press Zero button

  • Press Tare button

  • Restart the scale
