Version 1.8.2

Release Date: 4/1/2025

1. Introduction

This manual guides users through the Key Injection via Server feature for KioSoft POS. This feature allows secure, automated injection of vendor keys into the POS system and connected VXT reader, eliminating the need for physical cards and reducing human error.

2. Prerequisites

Before proceeding, please ensure:

  • The POS has internet connectivity.

  • The VXT reader is physically connected to the POS.

  • The VXT firmware version supports automated key injection (VXT version 1300.847.015.012).

3. Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the KioSoft POS application and go to Settings > Setup > Key Injection.

  1. Select the “Via Server” option to perform the key injection.

  1. The POS will automatically contact the server to fetch vendor keys.

If the internet is down during the injection, the key injection will fail.

  1. Only when both the tablet and VXT have injected the key successfully will the prompt below be shown.

Tap “Done” to return to the start of Key Injection.

Or Tap “Clear Keys” to clear the wrong key, so a new key can be injected.
