Document  Overview

The objective of this document is to cover how to setup an ADC stack dryer laundry machine with a KioSoft card reader. This document goes over the wiring of a ADC stack dryer with connection kit PK150002 and how to program the machine board. Additionally, how to create a the machine’s profile in the Cloud Configuration Manager, used for programming the KioSoft card reader.

Programming the machine board

Enter service mode by flipping the “SW502” switch on board to up position. Reference image below shows SW switch highlighted in yellow. Once turned on, the display on the screen will flash “Program Mode”.

The following are the control buttons when entering the ADC’s programming mode. For a stack machine, only use the top pocket control buttons.

SELECT VENDING MODE

The Vending Mode determines how the Phase 7 DMC (computer) will vend time to a customer when a coin is inserted into the dryer. The Phase 7 DMC (computer) uses this parameter to determine whether the Phase 7 DMC (computer) is in Accumulative Time or Accumulative Coin Mode. Depending on which mode the Phase 7 DMC (computer) is in, it will use a combination of the following program locations to determine how much time will be vended to the customer.

  • PL #03, PL #04, PL #05 – TIME FOR AMOUNT TO START

  • PL #06 – LEFT COIN DENOMINATION

  • PL #06 – RIGHT COIN DENOMINATION

  • PL #06 – AMOUNT TO START

  • PL #06 – AMOUNT FOR TOP OFF

ACCUMULATIVE TIME

In Accumulative Time Mode, after the initial AMOUNT TO START (PL #06) has been met, each additional coin afterward will have a specific value in time, which is determined by TIME FOR AMOUNT TO START (PL #03, PL #04, or PL #05) and AMOUNT TO START (PL #06).

Single Coin Acceptor

  • Example No. 1: If the dryer is equipped with a 25¢ coin acceptor and the AMOUNT TO START (PL #06) is 25¢, the HI key TIME FOR AMOUNT TO START (PL #03) is 30 minutes. Each coin entered into the dryer will yield 30 minutes.

  • Example No. 1 Settings:

    • PL #06 (LEFT COIN  DENOMINATION) 25

    • PL #03 (TIME FOR AMOUNT TO  START) 30

    • PL #06 (AMOUNT TO START) 25

How to Rapid Cycle an ADC Machine

Before Installation

PLEASE UNPLUG LAUNDRY MACHINE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF HARNESS

Harness Wiring Instructions

Coin Drop Connector

Connect WH150003’s coin cable connection into COIN1, labeled on the machine board as  J507.

Power Connection

NOTE: Please consult the Owner’s Manual, under the installation section, before fully splicing into the power of the laundry machine. Depending on the machine model and voltage, connections may vary. Once again, for safe please reconfirm machine is fully powered down, before splicing into machine.

For example: Reference images shown below, the transformer is located towards the back of the machine.

Using the blue tabs provide and WH150004, splice the black and white cables into the transformer’s

yellow cables. The polarity does not matter.

Connect WH150004’s 2-pin male connector into WH150003’s female power cable.

Card Reader Connection

Plug card reader’s data cable  into WH150003’s  card reader  connection

Card Reader Jumper

Readers out of the box, will have the jumper set to “A” side. When using ADC, this must be moved over to the “B” side. See “Additional Information” section for jumper identification on different KioSoft readers.

The jumper’s pins need to be horizontal and not vertical. The jumper has two parts, each with two pins. Make sure both pieces are moved closer to the right “B” side. Example image above shows an Ultra LX reader’s jumper moved to the “B” side.

Creating A Profile

Under CCM, in the Profile Builder: Select the following for Machine Data

Select “ADC”

Select Machine Control Type as “STACK”

Then, enter Vend Price and Vend Time that matches the Vend Price and Time set on machine board.

Once machine values are configured, click on “Site Data” and enter location information.

  • Site Code and Location ID must match the location in Location Management on Laundry Portal

  • For Location ID and Room#, you should enter the ones that you created previously

See image below regarding Site Data’s field values.

  1. Location ID

  2. Site Code

  3. Room Number

    • Each room will get its own profile.

  4. Non-Network

    • This should be enabled any time a modem is not present in the room.

  5. Card Holder

  6. Hide Label

    • This will hide the machine number on Connect and Elevate readers

If applicable, for Payment Options, ensure you select the payment methods for the desired location.

Finally, select “Save  Profile” from the drop-down menu and click “Save

  • Enter “Custom Text” for easier identification in the KioSoft Laundry Manager Application.

  • Example of Custom Text Label: Location Name RM1 ACA Dryer [225/45mins]
