Wiring Instructions

Dipswitches

Refer to your specific laundry machine’s owners’ manual regarding setting the dipswitches. Second set of dipswitches on a dryer will be for setting dryer time.

Power Connection

Locate the “H1” connection on machine board, see image below for reference.

The machine’s H1 power connector on the board does not have 2-pin male connector to easily plug into the harness. WH120019’s 2 single pins will be inserted into the connector on “H1” to pull power to the card reader.

Place WH120019 black and white pins into the H1, 2 by 2 connectors in the 2 open spots. There is no polarity for this connector, cable pins can be place in either open spot.

Then plug in harness WH120022’s connector into WH120019 to power the reader.

Coin Connection (If applicable)

Note: If keeping coin usage, top off is not supported on hybrid dryers.

Remove the original coin switch connections. Plug in WH120022’s female spade connectors into the coin

switch.

Place the machine’s female coin switch connections into WH120022’s male coin connectors. With brown male spade connector into the machine’s red male connector and the purple male connector into the machine’s black female spade connector.

In-use Monitoring (Optional)

Plug in H7, 2-pin orange and red, connector into the “H7” on the machine board. Please note this cable does not need to be need to be connected. It was previously used to monitor in use. Card reader on dryers will use time set on CCM profile. For washers, the card reader takes the last 5 cycles average to estimate in use time.

Card Reader Connection

Plug card reader’s data cable into harness WH120022’s card reader cable

Card Reader Jumper

Readers out of the box, will have the jumper set to “A” side. When using Alliance Hybrid machines, this must be moved over to the “B” side. See “Additional Information” section for jumper identification on different KioSoft readers.

The jumper’s pins need to be horizontal and not vertical. The jumper has two parts, each with two pins. Make sure both pieces are moved closer to the right “B” side. Example image above shows an Ultra LX reader’s jumper moved to the “B” side.
