Document Overview
The objective of this document is to cover how to connect a KioSoft card reader to a Maytag MXR PD model laundry machine not using coin. This document goes over the wiring of an MXR with connection kit PK1P0001. Additionally, how to create a the machine’s profile in the Cloud Configuration Manager, used for programming the KioSoft card reader.

Before Installation

PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF HARNESS
Wiring Instructions
Coil Relay Connections
Connect WH1P0002’s female spade to the 24VAC coil relay included in the kit, with the orange cable spade to “NO” and the red cable spade to “COM”. Then connect WH110053 female spades to the coil relay.
Then take the other ends of WH110053 and cut the red spade connector wires to expose the cable. These exposed cables will be connected to the machine board.
Connect the cut wire end of WH110053 into “M1” on the board—shown below as the white wire.
The other end of WH110053’s cut wire goes into “Q9” on the machine board—shown as the black wire below.
Power Connection
Connect PS100007’s 2-pin cable male cable into WH1P0002’s 2-pin female power connector.
The other ends connections will go to the line power coming from the machine. Trace the power plug to the machine to located the powerline. Please consult your specific machine model’s Owner’s Manuals, machine model and voltage may vary.
Coin Pulse Connections
Connect the WH1P0001’s 3-pin connector to the back of the reader’s coin pulse port. See “Additional Information” to see different coin pulse ports on KioSoft card readers.
Then connect the wires of WH1P0001 Primus Coin Pulse Output Cable to the Maytag terminal block as follows:
Card Reader Connection
Plug card reader’s data cable into WH1P0002’s card reader connection.
Please note: Card reader jumper remains on “A” side with the CommonPulse Profile.
Creating a CommonPulse profile
Under CCM, in the Profile Builder:
Select the following for Machine Data/mdata:
Manufacturer: “CommonPulse”
Machine Control Type: “Washer”
After, click on "Advance Options" to view all fields:
Configure machine parameters/fields as needed:
Note: All parameters in the machine’s profile will need to match what is set on the
machine board.
The Cycle Time is the amount of time the reader will not accept payment once the machine is in use. Please make sure to change the cycle time as needed.
Enter the following pulse setting for a MXR30:
Pulse Output = Coin Pulse
Pulse Width = 80
Pulse Rate = 200
Pulse Type = Pulse Low
Laundry Available Signal = Low
Extra Laundry Signal Box = Disable
Once machine values are configured, click on “Site Data” and enter location information.
Site Code and Location ID must match the location in Location Management on Laundry Portal
For Location ID and Room#, you should enter the ones that you created previously

Each room will get its own profile.
Non-Network
This should be enabled any time a modem is not present in the room.
Card Holder
Hide Label
This will hide the machine number on Connect and Elevate readers
If applicable, for Payment Options, ensure you select the payment methods for the desired location.
Finally, select “Save Profile” from the drop-down menu and click “Save”
Enter “Custom Text” for easier identification in the KioSoft Laundry Manager Application.
