How to Clear the Red Error Light (Or Beeping)

Summary

There are occasions when the red error light will be turned on whenever the card connect reader receives any errors after completing a Set Up Test (SUT). This document will show you step by step how to resolve this problem.


Issue

The red light is on.


Environment

KLM (Kiosoft Logistics Manager), Version: 3.2.0.1.


Resolution

  1. Click the three lines at the top left corner to view the main menu and then select 'Service.'

  1. In the Service menu, choose 'Error Enquiries' at the bottom of the page.

  1. You can choose to view the error messages by selecting 'Scan QR code' or 'Enter Machine number.' However, this will only allow you to view them and not clear them.

  1. To clear out the red error light or stop the beeping on the reader, select the small question mark icon at the bottom right side of the app.

  1. A window will pop up to clear the errors on the reader. Choose the 'Scan QR code' or 'Enter Machine number.'

  1. The app will send a Bluetooth command to clear out the errors. You would see a loading screen, and the reader would have a solid blue LED while communicating with the app. 

  1. Then, the app will display a small message at the bottom of the screen. The red error light would be removed.
