How to Create a Universal Pulse Profile for a Wascomat Crossover Washer

Environment:

The following article applies to Wascomat Crossover washers being pulsed.

The Wascomat Crossover Washer may be pulsed in cases where both a coin and a card reader are used. Since the Crossover washer is not a dual channel machine, it is recommended for the best end user experience with the card reader system to set the machine to COIN mode and use the universal pulse settings provided below.

If using only the KioSoft card reader system without coin as an accepted form of payment, the serial communication profile is recommended instead.

1) Under CCM, in the Profile Builder, Select “Universal” then “Universal Pulse”.

2) Start on the left side of the tabs and work your way to the right as you fill in information.

Starting with "Location” tab, enter location information.

3) In "Machine Profile” tab, change the following:

Machine Type: Washer

Reader Mode: Value

Pocket Configuration: Single

4) "Audio Visual" tab can be left as default.

5) "Products, Pricing and Timing” enter desired pricing:

Note: Time & Price must be set on the machine board as well. There are three different methods to get pricing: Basic, Incremental, and Multi Pricing. Fill out one tab only and then click on "Pulse" tab.

Reminder

The pricing on the reader and machine must match. Please make sure the machine is set for COIN mode and the pricing is set on the laundry machine as well.

6) Once completed, under the “Pulse” tab enter the following pulse setting for an Encore Dryer:

Output Type: CoinPulse

Pulse Polarity: Idle Close

Output Pulse Gap: 100

Output Pulse Duration: 40

Laundry Available Signal: Disable

7) Proceed to fill out the following tabs as needed “Data Processing”, based on type of reader.

Payment Gateway Options: TSYS

POS ID: (from VAR sheet provided)

Auth Code: (from VAR sheet provided)

Auth Factor: (from VAR sheet provided)

Work Mode: Retail (unless using Standard Mode (MASTER/BACKUP/NORMAL), then create as NORMAL)

Wifi SSID: techtrex (unless otherwise specified)

Settings for data upload, WiFi, POS ID, and payment gateway options displayed.

8)  In “Payment Types and Methods” enter desired payment options, based on reader model type.

Payment methods and card types options including KioSoft and various credit cards.

9) Finally, go to the drop down labeled "Profile and switch to “Save Profile". Then click the “Save” button.

Enter “Custom Text” for easier identification in the KioSoft Laundry Manager Application.
