The objective of this document is to cover how to set up a Maytag MHN33PD using coin. This document goes over the wiring of MHN33 with KioSoft Single Maytag harness and a coin pulse cable. Additionally, how to create a the machine’s profile in the Cloud Configuration Manager, used for programming the KioSoft card reader.

Before Installation

Wiring Instructions

To access the machine's  motherboard:

First remove the soap dispenser. Press on latch, located at the top (see image middle image), to release and remove the soap dispenser completely. Next, remove the two screws located on the inside of  where the soap dispenser was located.

Then remove the four screws from the display panel and remove the machine frame afterwards.

Remove additional screws 6 screws, located on the outer left and outer right sides of the machines metal frame to access the machine  board.

Remove the original Maytag power connection (White, yellow and blue cable), as shown in the image of

MHN33’s motherboard below.

Place KioSoft harness’ power connection (of the same cable colors as the original Maytag power cable) into the motherboard and connect the original Maytag power connection to the KioSoft harness.

Connect KioSoft harness’s 6-pin serial connection (Black, Orange, Yellow and black cables) to machine board labeled “CARD READER”, as shown in image below.

Connect WH130018’s 2 by 2 pin red and white coin cable to machine’s board on Coin1 and NOT Coin2, then connect other end of coin cable, 3 pin connection to pulse port located on the back of the reader. See “Additional Information” section to view different KioSoft reader’s pulse  ports.

Note: If you need a longer coin cable, please use WH130020 instead of WH130018. Part number WH1300020 is a 90cm longer coin cable. Additionally, you can use the longer harness WH130022  in  place of WH130005.

Creating a profile for MHN33 in CCM

Under CCM, in the Profile Builder select the following for Machine Data/Mdata

Select “Maytag”

You can enter the model number partially as “MHN33” to autofill or click on the following for MHN33: Rec = 37

Model = 16

After, click on "Advance Options" and configure pricing as needed

Finally enter "Site Data" for location and save profile with “Custom Text” for labeling profile.

If you need assistance with site data, see “Additional Information” section regarding Site Data’s value fields.

If applicable, for Payment Options, ensure you select the payment methods for the desired location.

Finally, select “Save  Profile” from the drop-down menu and click “Save

  • Enter “Custom Text” for easier identification in the KioSoft Laundry Manager Application.

  • Example of Custom Text Label: Location Name RM1 MHN33 [2.25]

Creating a profile for MDx28 in CCM

Under CCM, in the Profile Builder select the following for Machine Data

Select “Maytag”

You can enter the model number partially as “MDx28” to autofill or click on the following for MDx28: Rec = 27

Model = 8

After, click on "Advance Options" and configure pricing as needed

Finally enter "Site Data" for location and save profile with “Custom Text” for labeling profile. If you

need assistance with site data, see “Additional Information” section regarding Site Data’s value fields. If applicable, for Payment Options, ensure you select the payment methods for the desired location. Finally, select “Save Profile” from the drop-down menu and click “Save

  • Enter “Custom Text” for easier identification in the KioSoft Laundry Manager Application.

  • Example of Custom Text Label: Location Name RM1 MDE28 [2.25]

Site Data Field Values

  1. Location ID

  2. Site Code

  3. Room Number

    • Each room will get its own profile.

  4. Non-Network

    • This should be enabled any time a modem is not present in the room.

  5. Card Holder

  6. Hide Label

    • This will hide the machine number on Connect and Elevate readers

Please note:

  • Site Code and Location ID must match the location in Location Management on Laundry Portal

  • For Location ID and Room#, you should only enter the ones that you created previously
