Document Overview

The objective of this document is to cover how to setup a Maytag MLx26 with a KioSoft card reader. This document goes over the wiring of an MLx26 using a stack harness and, if applicable, a coin pulse cable. Additionally, how to create a machine profile in Cloud Configuration   Manager.

Before Installation

PLEASE UNPLUG LAUNDRY MACHINE

PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF HARNESS

Wiring Instructions

To access the machine board, first remove all six screws off the Maytag front panel as labeled in image below.

Carefully, open the front panel to view the machine’s display.

Remove the display tab by pressing on the small button on the top black portion (see image below).

Remove the screws from the board to reveal the motherboard of the MLx26.

Card Reader Connection

Plug card reader’s data cable into WH130006’s card reader connection.

Power Connections

Remove laundry machine’s transformer cable off the machine board's connection, label as “AA8”, and plug it into harness WH130006’s 8-pin female power cable. Then connect WH130006’s 8 pin male connector into the machine board’s “AA8” connection, shown on the right image.

Serial Connection

Place the 6-pin serial connection of WH130006 on to the board's connection labeled “AA3”.

Coin Connections (If Applicable)

Place the coin cable labeled WH130018 (red and white cable) into the “COIN1” connection on the top left side of the board. The other end of WH130018, 3 pin connection, goes on the back of the KioSoft reader’s coin pulse port.

See “Additional Information” section to view different KioSoft  card reader’s pulse ports.

Note: If you need a longer coin cable, please use WH130020 instead of WH130018. Part number WH1300020 is a 90cm longer coin cable.

Place the machine’s coin drop male connector into WH130006’s female connector, green, white and black cable.

Creating a MLx26 profile in CCM

Under CCM, in Profile Builder for Machine Data/MData enter the following information:

Select Manufacture: “Maytag”

In the search bar, enter the model number partially as “MLx26” to autofill or click on the following for MLx26:

Rec = 27

Model = 6

After, click on "Advance Options" and configure pricing as needed.

Please note on the KLM app: When programming the machine information make sure to check

Enable coin Via Gen1” box, if using coin.

Once machine values are configured, click on “Site Data” and enter location information.

  • Site Code and Location ID must match the location in Location Management on Laundry Portal

  • For Location ID and Room#, you should enter the ones that you created previously

See image below regarding Site Data’s field values.

  1. Location ID

  2. Site Code

  3. Room Number

    • Each room will get its own profile.

  4. Non-Network

    • This should be enabled any time a modem is not present in the room.

  5. Card Holder

  6. Hide Label

    • This will hide the machine number on Connect and Elevate readers

If applicable, for Payment Options, ensure you select the payment methods for the desired location.

Finally, select “Save Profile” from the drop-down menu and click “Save

  • Enter “Custom Text” for easier identification in the KioSoft Laundry Manager Application.

  • Example of Custom Text Label: Location Name RM1 Maytag Single Dryer [100/45mins]
