Error - Check Dispenser Connections on a KioSmart

1) Check "Work Mode" on KioSmart terminal: 

  • At the terminal pinpad, press "*" then "3" to enter the admin menu. 

  • Select option labeled "Work Mode".

  • Enter password

  • Change the work mode as needed. Kiosk will reboot after confirmation.

2) Check if Dispenser has power: 

  • Place one card in the dispenser to confirm that the dispenser is moving forward, and the motor has enough power. 

  • If card does not move forward, troubleshoot the power connections below: 

    • Verify Card Dispenser Power Cable (PS110001), with red & back wires, is not connected upside down and fully pushed into the dispenser. See reference image below.

    • Verify the 24V Power Supply (PS000005) is connected to Card Dispenser Power Cable (PS110001) and not the card reader's 9-volt power supply cable. 

    • Image below (left) shows 24v Power Supply (PS000005) connected to Card Dispenser Power Cable (PS110001) hooked up to Card Dispenser (AS110003). Notice the red and black wires are closer to the right-hand side, indicating the cable was connected properly.

3) Check dispenser connections: 

  • Verify cables are connected to the back of the terminal/card reader properly. 

  • The green port labeled "RS232" has WH110032 Card Reader Data Cable connected.

  • The yellow port labeled "Pin pad" has WH110030 Card Dispensing Data Cable connected.

    • Not WH110001, that is the data cable for the PTS, not the KioSmart.

4) Check the dispenser by using "Test Dispenser" option through admin menu: 

  • At the terminal Pin pad, press "*" then "3" to enter the admin menu. 

  • Select 2nd option "Terminal Config". 

  • Kiosk will ask for Admin card. Place the Admin card on the blue contactless card reader. 

  • Kiosk will then ask for Admin password.

  • Select 8th option "Test Dispenser". The kiosk should dispense one card. Motor should make noise and no error message should display.
