How to create an ACA Dryer Profile in CCM

Note:

This article is intended for creating an Alliance ACA machine profile for a KioSoft card reader. Confirm the Alliance machines control type, reference images below.

Alliance machines with the control type ACA will feature a green LED display with a dip switch set on the machine board. The dip switches are located on the corner of the board.

Step 1: Site Data

1) Click on “Site Data” and enter location information.

  • Site Code and Location ID must match the location in Location Management on Laundry Portal

  • For Location ID and Room#, you should enter the ones that you created previously

See image below regarding Site Data’s field values.

  1. Location ID

  2. Site Code

  3. Room Number

    • Each room will get its own profile.

  4. Non-Network

    • This should be enabled any time a modem is not present in the room.

  5. Card Holder

  6. Hide Label

    • This will hide the machine number on Connect and Elevate readers

2) Next for Payment Options, select the payment methods for the target location.

REMINDER

Fill out the "Site data" portion before filling out the "Machine Data" information.

If you fail to set the site data, your profile will not save to your target location.


Step 2: Machine Data

1) Select the 'Machine tab':

2) Select the 'Alliance' option for the laundry manufacturer:  


3) Choose the 'ACA' as the laundry machine control type: 


4) Choose the 'Dryer' as the laundry machine control type: 



5) Click on the 'Advanced Options' button to view all machine parameters: 


While creating the machine profile, you can refer to the laundry machine’s display board, shown below. The fields you’re adjusting on the machine data correspond to the selections available on the machine. The reader allows you to set these parameters and control the pricing accordingly.

6) Start by entering the pricing parameters for 'Heat Vend Price' and 'No Heat Vend Price'. Both fields are in Cents, where 275 = $2.75.

7) Set the cycle duration (value in minutes) for both Heat and No Heat cycles.

The Cycle Time1 fields are configured in minutes, while the Cycle Time2 fields are in seconds.

For example, below, selecting the Heat option with the settings above will provide a resident with exactly 60 minutes and 0 seconds of drying time.

8) Next, enable partial dryer cycle purchases by setting the 'Top-Off On/Off' option. Use 1 to enable and 0 to disable this feature.

The Top-Off option is available only on dryers. It allows residents to add additional drying time if their clothes are not fully dry, without needing to purchase a full cycle again.

For example, instead of paying a another $2.75 for 60 minutes, residents can add time in smaller increments as needed, making it more convenient.

9) Adjust the top-off time for a partial dryer purchase. This parameter is configured in minutes, with a maximum allowable value of 99 for the Alliance ACA dryer.

10) Set the Payment System Top-Off Vend Price, if applicable. This field is configured in cents, where 25 equals $0.25.

Note: Industry standard is 5mins for 25 cents.


Optional Temperature Settings

You can adjust the temperature of the dryer settings, High, Medium and Low, as needed.

Step 3: Save Profile

1) Save your profile by selecting the drop-down option at the top left of the profile builder and choose the 'Save Profile' option.

2) Enter the custom text name, for example as ACA Dryer ($2.75/60mins).
